Overview:

This facilitator-led workshop provides you with the tools and resources to facilitate ethics training at the time and location of your choice. This workshop is designed to be facilitated in-person or virtually, if needed. You will analyze two (2) IMA Educational Case Journal (IECJ®) case studies, "A Reporting Dilemma: Hiring Freeze Headcount" and "A Tale of Missing…Parts," as well as IMA's Statement of Ethical Professional Practice and other ethical theories and principles, to assess how one's personal values and the behavior of others can affect your own ethical decision making. Define various ethical terminology and moral philosophies, examine decisions made during uncertain economic times, and analyze the transparency of a working relationship as you further develop a strong foundation rooted in ethical behavior.

Learning Objectives:

Appraise and become more familiar with the IMA Statement of Ethical Professional Practice.

Compare various philosophies relating to behavioral ethics and values for decision making.

Examine two examples of ethical situations that can occur at different phases of an individual’s career.

Recognize the purpose of a code of ethical conduct for professionals.

Conclude the fairness and/or appropriateness of the ultimate outcomes.

***Before the meeting, please download and read Case1 - A Reporting Dilemma and Case 2 A Tale of Missing Parts.   Also, please download a copy of the Ethics2020 Participant Workbook as a reference.  The IMA Statement of Ethical Professional Practice is also included as a reference.***
