As a leader and perhaps a decision maker in your organization, you now more than ever need to ensure that understanding, being inclusive, and diversification within your workforce will make or break your bottom line especially with our new norm becoming virtual in many aspects. But what does that all mean as a small/medium size business owner? How do we derive data that we may not have to get to the answers that we need. What should be used in our decision making process when it comes to inclusive and diversity to ensure that we do in fact, diversify? What practices do we need to implement in order to ensure that we are practicing inclusion? Do we have key behaviors indicators that we should be measuring when we practice inclusion, and what do they look like? Dynamite Business Coach, LLC helps business owners have a better understanding of their business in accounting and operations. In partnership with Sandler Training, Sandler has over the 50 years of being an international organization leading the conversation and providing strategies that work for organizations in sales, staff, structure, and strategy. This includes knowing how to actively listen, how to ask questions, and what practices to put in place for all leaders no matter what size their company is.

About the Presenter
A native from Brownsville Texas, Tanya Thirlwall went to the University of St.Thomas in Houston Texas andgraduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in International Studies and International Development with minorsin finance and economics. As a recent graduate during the recession, she took a change in her careerpath and was the operations supervisor for Victoria’s Secret in the Houston Galleria were her primaryfocus was workforce management of a team of 200 employees. From there, she moved back home in2012 where she enrolled to gain her second bachelors in Accounting from UTRGV and became the controller and director for her father’s commercial construction company specializing in sheet metal manufacturing and installation.
During her time at UTRGV she founded and was President of the IMAStudent Chapter. Graduating in December 2015 she moved back to Houston to have her first son and became a family office accountant where she managed two large high-net worth individuals of combined net worth of $265 million dollars.
In February of 2018 after moving back home Houston from Hurricane Harvey, she became the finance and contracting manager for insurance advisors agency andin January of 2019 as the organization development specialist for McAllen Valley Roofing.
In March of 2020 she officially launched her company, Dynamite Business Coach that focuses on working with business owners on bridging the gap between accounting, operations, and human resources. In June of 2020 she came on board with Sandler Training to further her pursuit in helping develop businesses and business owners in sales training, staffing, strategy, and structure. She also is a limited partner in Realty One Investing overseeing operations.
She is active with the IMA, helped manage the young professionals in the Houston Chapter, was a director, secretary, and now president-elect for the Texas Regional Council for 2021-2022. She had an article published in October 2019 in Strategic Finance Magazine on Social Media as a Means to Diversity. In 2019 she was named first alternate for the Young Professional Award for the IMA. In 2020 she was given IMA Young Exemplary Professional Award. She sits on the Diversity and Inclusion committee for the IMA and roundtable committee for chapters and councils. She is also part of Leadership Brownsville, class 36. Hobbies include anything fashion, motorcycles, real estate, writing, and keeping up with two very active little boys Antonio and Gabriel.
