Learning Objectives:
Advanced Preparation: None
Pre-requisites: None
Format: Group Live
Synopsis:
This presentation the Balanced Risk and Control Scorecard (BRCS), a proactive diagnostic tool designed to bridge the gap between technical audit compliance and long-term mission sustainability. By integrating qualitative operational signals, such as audit delay, workload compression, and control fatigue- with qualitative benchmarks like revenue concentration and infrastructure investment ratios, the BRCS provides stakeholders with a “human face” of risk. The framework operates across four critical dimensions: Internal Process Integrity, Organizational Capacity, Financial Stewardship, and Strategic Infrastructure. The presentation provides actionable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to help nonprofit leaders move away from the "starvation cycle" and recognize administrative infrastructure as a mission-critical defense against systemic failure.
