1 1/2 CPE hours for both CMAs and CPAs are provided. Attendees must sign in and out and be present for the presentation in order to receive CPE credit.

Summary:

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is transforming the way organizations approach Finance and Accounting processes. User-friendly platforms and embedded advanced digital services such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning make RPA a relatively inexpensive option for companies; the majority of which, begin implementation with Finance and Accounting processes. Boasting end user development functionality that requires no IT expertise, RPA should be on each Finance and Accounting professionals’ radar. Join us as Loreal Jiles, Technology Demand Manager for BP’s Upstream Accounting, Reporting and Control organization, walks through the power of RPA, its impact on our profession and how we can become leaders in this space.

Presenter Bio:

JilesLoreal-9921.jpgLoreal Jiles is technology demand manager of BP’s Upstream Accounting Reporting and Control organization, where she leads global grassroots automation efforts. In this role, Loreal plays a critical part in defining the controller of the future, designing and executing a digital upskilling agenda, fostering ideation, and leading implementation of a host of technology pilots from robotic process automation and data visualization to machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Loreal has had a variety of roles with increasing responsibility at BP prior to her promotion to Technology Demand Manager. Her passion for the development of future accountants shines through in the choices she makes outside of work. Loreal currently sits on the IMA Accounting Honor Society Advisory Board, has facilitated sessions at multiple IMA Annual Student Leadership Conferences, and published an article in Strategic Finance (August 2014 edition) titled “Management Accounting Career Readiness: Shaping YOUR Curriculum.”  Loreal holds a B.S. in accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., and an MBA from Tulane University.
